Estroven® Stress, Mood & Memory Directions for Use

  • Women (menopausal/post-menopausal): Take 1 caplet daily. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or health care products. Take with food.
  • Recommended use: Soy Isoflavones may reduce severe and frequent menopausal symptoms (such as hot flashes and/or night sweats). Black Cohosh helps relieve symptoms associated with menopause. Black Cohosh is used in herbal medicine to help ease nervous tension (calmative). May reduce irritability associated with menopause. Ginkgo Biloba helps to enhance cognitive function and memory in adults. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 6 weeks. For best results, ongoing daily use is important. Use for 2 weeks to see beneficial effects.
  • Contra-indications: Do not use if you currently have or previously had breast cancer and/or breast tumours or if you have a predisposition to breast cancer, as indicated by an abnormal mammogram and/or biopsy, or a family member with breast cancer. Do not use if you are taking health products that affect blood coagulation (e.g. blood thinners) as this may increase the risk of spontaneous bleeding. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Cautions and Warnings: Ensure you are up-to-date on mammograms and gynaecological evaluations prior to use. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking blood thinners, if you have a history of hormonal or gynaecological disease, including ovarian cancer, endometriosis, and/or uterine fibroids, if you have a liver disorder or develop liver-related symptoms, if you are taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT), including thyroid hormone replacement therapy. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if you experience breast pain, discomfort and/or tenderness, or if you experience a recurrence of menstruation and/or uterine spotting. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking blood thinners, or if you are taking medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, or seizures.
